Licensed electricians serving South Elgin homes and businesses — EV chargers, panel upgrades, standby generators, and everyday electrical repairs.
South Elgin has some of the newest housing in the western suburbs — most of the village filled in over the last thirty years, out past Randall Road and along the Fox. That usually means the panel has capacity to spare. What it doesn’t mean is that the circuits are where you need them now: a garage with one outlet, no dedicated run for a car charger, a home office sharing a breaker with the kitchen.
That’s most of what we do here. Our licensed electricians pull the Village of South Elgin permit, coordinate with ComEd when a service upgrade is genuinely needed, and label the panel before we leave. Free estimates, upfront pricing, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on installations.
Outlets, switches, circuits, lighting, and troubleshooting anywhere in the house.
Offices, retail, and warehouses — service calls, lighting, and buildouts.
Level 2 home chargers wired, permitted, and inspected — usually in one visit.
Whole-home standby generators with automatic transfer switches, sized for your house.
100-amp to 200-amp service upgrades for homes running out of breakers.
Smart switches, doorbells, network runs, and structured cabling.
Same crew, same phone number as before — now 100% electrical. Read our Google reviews or meet the team.
The Village of South Elgin, through its Community Development Department — South Elgin sits in Kane County but the village handles permitting and inspection itself. We file the permit, meet the inspector, and coordinate with ComEd if the service is being upgraded.
Usually not in a house of this vintage. Most South Elgin homes were built with 200-amp service and the panel has room, so adding a dedicated run for a car charger, a home office, or a garage freezer is a wiring job rather than a service upgrade. We run the load calculation first and tell you which one you’re actually looking at — a lot of homeowners are quoted an upgrade they don’t need.
