Trusted Generator Installers in Chicagoland

We know what a sudden outage does to a household — the food in the fridge, the sump pump, the home office that has to keep running. Our team specializes in standby generator installations that keep your home powered without you lifting a finger. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, we size and install a system built around your specific energy needs, so your household keeps running even in an emergency.

Reliable Generator Installation Services

We manage every step of your generator installation, from the first consultation to final testing, so the process stays hassle-free. Serving homes across West Chicago and the surrounding communities, we focus on dependable, properly sized generator solutions rather than upselling capacity you’ll never use. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your family is protected during unexpected outages.

We install  whole-house standby generators — 10 to 26 kW air-cooled units for most Chicagoland homes, and liquid-cooled units for larger homes and light-commercial buildings. Every system includes an automatic transfer switch, and we can add a load-management module so the generator carries your furnace, sump pump, refrigerator, central AC and EV charger without paying for an oversized unit.

Reliable Backup Power

Power That Stays On, Even When the Grid Doesn't.

A standby generator is only as reliable as the install behind it. We combine hands-on electrical experience with careful load planning so your system starts automatically, carries what it should, and hands power back cleanly when the utility returns.

I worked directly with Andrew Cotton, the owner of aesthetic air and electric. He was referred to me from a close friend and they exceeded my expectations on both jobs. I had one unit installed at my place of business where the electrical service is very inconsistent particularly during storms as well as one at my residence 10 blocks away. That is also problematic during storms. Nobody wants to buy two generators at the same time, but the flexibility they offered, and the professionalism made it an easy decision. Let me start by saying they stepped me through the exact process of working with NICOR gas to make sure my meters and all my internal equipment was compliant. They handled all the ordering of the equipment. The proposal process was easy. Andrew and his team answered all my questions very completely and made sure I knew what was going to happen every step of the way I have never had generators installed before and I learned a lot during the process. It's rare that an owner takes the time to make sure aspect of the job is done to the best of its teams ability at one point I had at least seven contractors from his company working in my space. They were all courteous all very good at their jobs very professional and worked very clean. After the job was completed the next day I came to my business and you could not tell that anyone was there even after the significant amount of work that have been done. I am very happy with the result. I chose Kohler over Generac just as a personal preference based on my experience they do offer both brands. I had multiple quotes there by far the most efficient able to schedule to work and get equipment quickly and become a trusted partner that I'm sure I'll do business with for my other properties. I highly recommend them and I am if you have any questions I would be willing to speak on their behalf. I am two weeks post install a no that I am going to be well protected for the next several years, knowing that I have back up on both of my properties as well for a very nominal fee, they will be coming out annually to inspect and certify my units each year, and that gives me a great peace of mind. It's just another thing I don't have to remember or learn how to do as a business owner with multiple properties. This is a huge help thank you Andrew and please let us know how we could support your business. I was very impressed from A-to-Z.

Aesthetic Air & Electric was amazing. We requested a quote for a new 100/125 AMP electric panel and 5 GFCI outlets. Two technicians came out to see what was in place and make recommendations. Our original 1960 100 amp panel needed replacing and the house needed an additional 7 GFCI outlets in the kitchen, back porch, garage, and basement laundry. Everything was clearly explained with choices for both a 100 or 200 amp panel, when we requested it. An estimate, with terms and conditions, was emailed to us for approval and signature, and appointment scheduled. Our two technicians showed up on time and spent the next 9 hours installing the panel and many GFCI's. They were thorough, professional, and pleasant. We are very happy with the job well-done and would definitely use Aesthetic Air & Electric again.

I had a fuse go out and called a different company who quoted me almost $10k for these upgrades and telling me I needed all these new things. Thank god we got a second opinion. Jason was amazing and was able to identify the problem so fast with our panel. He didn’t try to upsell me on anything and the total was way more realistic

The two electricians were great. The lady in the office who scheduled my appointment gave me the wrong pricing.

Generator Installation FAQ

Choosing the right generator installation service can be daunting. We aim to make it as transparent as possible, so here are answers to the questions we hear most — from the first consultation through to the final inspection.
What size generator do I need for my home?
Choosing the right size depends on your home’s power needs. During our consultation, we assess essential systems you need powered during an outage and recommend a generator that efficiently and reliably supports those requirements without unnecessary energy waste.
Typically, the entire generator installation process spans between one to two days. This timeline includes integrating the generator with your home’s existing systems and comprehensive testing to ensure seamless operation. We coordinate to minimize disruptions, delivering timely and efficient service.

Yes, most standby generators can connect to your home’s existing natural gas or propane lines. Our team will assess your current setup during installation planning, ensuring a seamless and safe integration that meets all local regulations and codes.

Generators require routine maintenance, such as oil and filter changes, to ensure optimal performance. We provide maintenance guidelines and offer service packages to keep your generator running smoothly year-round. Regular upkeep prevents issues and extends the lifespan of your investment.

Yes. Your municipality requires an electrical permit and inspection, and the gas connection needs a permit as well. We handle the electrical permit and inspection, coordinate the gas-line work and, where a service disconnect is required, schedule it with ComEd. Code also sets minimum clearances from windows, doors and property lines, which we plan for at the site visit.

Usually, with the right size and a load-management module that sheds high-draw circuits when needed. We run a load calculation first; if you’re also planning an EV charger, we assess both in one visit.
